Super Science Saturday!!!

The EBE Science Fair was a resounding success this weekend!  Thanks to everyone who came out to see what our budding scientists invented, investigated, experimented, and researched.  Also, special thanks to our judges, who gave up their Saturday to come back to their workplace and help set up, evaluate projects, and even clean up afterwards--Ms. Wright, Mrs. Booth, Mr. Hanzeli, Mrs. Larson, Mrs. Jansma, Mrs. Nelles, Ms. Morgan, Mrs. McNeil, Mrs. Robinson, and Mrs. Schnarr.  Our staff here at Elger Bay rocks!! 

Also, our undying gratitude to those who helped "behind the scenes" (if there really is any such thing with an EBE PTA event) to make this event possible--our fearless PTA president, Kim Mahoney, who had both her safety and sanity tested while running the demonstration area; our ever-supportive principal, Mr. Hanzeli, for doing triple duty as setup/cleanup crew, Science Fair judge, and event MC; our Membership Coordinator, Sandi Fox, for popping oodles and oodles of popcorn to feed our hungry participants; and, last--but certainly not least--Ron Holley, one of our fantastic custodians, who came in on a weekend to help us clean up after all of those erupting volcanoes and chemical reactions.....

Most importantly, thanks to all of the Elger Bay Elementary students who entered a project in the Science Fair this year--and, to all of the families who managed to get their children and/or projects to this event, even though many had previous commitments to sports and other activities.  You all did a fantastic job, the projects were all very impressive, and we are so proud of everyone!
